Re-Tipping of larger-sized contacts is a good alternative and offers real cost savings.

The reasons for choosing  this option normally are cost or obsolescent parts.

Saving of 50% when compared to new contact kits, for size 4 and above are most common.

We remove your old silver pad, clean the base, and braze on the new silver tip. This process will give you a refurbished contact equal to the original at a fraction of the price.

Inspection of your contacts to insure there is a good contact base is required prior to re-tipping.

Procedure             

     Each Re-tip goes through a 3 part process:

  • Inspection         : Visual Inspection of old contact to insure

  •                                that the base is not burned and is suitable

  •                                for retip.    

  • Procedure         : Remove old silver pad

  •                               Clean base to insure proper bond

  •                               Braze on new silver tip.  

  • Quality Control: Perform visual inspection of refurbished

  •                                contact to insure that it meets our

  •                                Quality control standards.
